Cost and Fee

IMPORTANT NOTE

We follow the practice of JUNOMICHI, which is based on three important principles: AUTONOMY, DECISION and COMMITMENT.
These principles apply to our daily lives, meaning you are fully responsible and accountable for your own actions.
The primary focus is on the practice itself, and the school prefers not to spend time on administrative matters.

Therefore, you are expected to manage your own payments and ensure they are made on time. The school will not send reminders for payments due.

Supporting Our Shared Journey

As we volunteer our time to run these classes and do not receive any income from them, we kindly ask that you contribute towards the running costs (such as rent, insurance, and materials).

Our aim is to share knowledge to help people feel better, and your support ensures we can continue providing these sessions.

Commitment and Contributions

We aim to offer an experience that goes beyond simply paying and receiving something in return, as you might with a vending machine. Instead, think of our class as joining a team—your participation and commitment support the group, and the more you engage, the more beneficial it becomes for everyone, including yourself.

For this reason, we do not take payment on a session-by-session basis but rather for the whole period or in instalments. This approach promotes consistency and dedication, which are important for both individual and group progress.

Payments are non-refundable. This structure helps maintain commitment, as we aim to foster a sense of responsibility to both yourself and the group, rather than operating like a vending machine where one simply inserts a coin for a product.

Each session costs £4, which covers the running expenses, such as venue hire and equipment. I run these classes on a volunteer basis and do not take any personal profit from the fees.

Cost per session

You do not need to pay for the first two sessions.

If you choose not to continue, it simply means JUNOMICHI is not be the right fit for you.

However, if you decide to join, this signifies a commitment to yourself, and the cost of those initial two sessions will be included in the total fee.

If you join partway through the year, the fee will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining sessions.

If possible, please pay the fees before the start of each term to help cover costs upfront and ensure the smooth continuation of the classes without financial strain.

The Uses of the tatami Fee

The fees collected are utilised to cover the rental cost of the venue, travel expenses for the Federation Technical Commission, Junomichi School Scotland public liability insurance, and publications, including internet and advertising expenses.

Payment conditions

You can pay the annual fee in full or in three instalments at the beginning of September, December, March and May.
If you pay in full, the payment is due 17/09/2025
If you pay in 3 instalments, the paymens are due 17/09/2025, 13/12/2025, 12/03/2026 and if you wish to pay in 4 instalment, the last one is due 12/05/2026

–, Additional family member : £ 70 per year.

Annual Membership to the Junomichi Federation (Federation International Autonomous of Junomichi): £22 per person, payment with the first instalment.

IF YOU HAVE FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES
PLEASE TALK TO US.
It is more important to keep studying and practising Junomichi
than stopping because if materialist issues.

The instalments can be flexible in terms of participation. For example, you might attend one session in Oxgangs and another the following week at Inch House, it doesn’t matter.

We practice JUNOMICHI, which means you take full responsibility and are fully committed to your practice. The most important thing is the practice itself; the school does not wish to spend time on administrative tasks. This means you must manage your own payments and ensure they are made on time. The school will not send reminders for payments due.

Refund and Non-Refund Policy

Refunds

Refunds will only be provided in exceptional circumstances where services cannot be rendered as agreed due to unforeseen events beyond the control of both parties. In such cases, any request for a refund must be made in writing, clearly stating the reason. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed on a pro-rata basis, deducting any services already received. Please allow up to 14 days for any approved refunds to be processed. The decision to provide a refund is at the sole discretion of the Junomichi School Scotland and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

If you are asked to leave the school, you will be refunded on a pro-rata basis for any remaining unused sessions.

Non-Refunds

Once payment has been made for any session, instalment, or annual fee, no refund will be issued for any missed sessions, regardless of the reason. This policy applies whether you choose to attend or not, as your space is reserved in advance. Payments for membership and insurance fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, as these are processed with third-party organisations and services. Additionally, any unused session(s) cannot be carried forward to the following year or credited against future payments.

If you send a message indicating that you are leaving the school, no refund will be provided for any remaining sessions or instalments already paid.

Joining Mid-Installment

If you join after an installment period has begun, your fee will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Starting After April
If you commence participation after April, membership to the Junomichi Federation for the remainder of the year is not required.
