The I.A.JF (International and Autonomous Junomichi Federation) encourages its members to:
- Practise JUNOMICHI diligently and regularly, without interruption, and not to abandon its practice, except in cases of force majeure or for a reason justified by the practitioner’s own conscience.
- Avoid any practice that is dangerous to oneself or to partners, both in the form and substance of techniques.
- Replace any inclination towards aggression (in randori or combat) with a sincere desire to achieve effectiveness for oneself, not in comparison to one’s partner.
- Promote and spread the knowledge of JUNOMICHI, sharing its form and deep purpose, as originally envisioned by Master JIGORO KANO.
- Accept the form proposed by one’s instructors with a spirit of personal research shared with other practitioners, driven by a desire for mutual progress.
- Practise with pleasure and joy, taking satisfaction in self-improvement, and viewing this practice as an art, an educational game, and a means of physical and moral health.
- This charter should be considered a commitment of honour, in one’s soul and conscience, towards the organisation, the individuals, and the practice of JUNOMICHI.
